How to Use Wikispaces

The purpose of the Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) is to help teachers integrate technology into the curriculum.
The role of the TIS is primarily one of supporting good curriculum.

This may be accomplished by:

  • Assisting teachers in the classroom with planning and implementing technology activities related to curriculum standards
  • Assisting teachers with students in the computer lab with special projects or activities
  • Locating digital resources for units of study
  • Modeling technology integration lessons
  • Assisting with instruction in use of digital cameras, individual student response systems (CPS), Unitedstreaming, interactive whiteboards, Riverdeep, Podcasting, etc. etc.
  • Providing technology staff development sessions (planning periods, before/after school, in-service days)
  • Supporting district technology applications (GroupWise, IGPro, ClassXP, Lex Connect, MS Office, etc.)
  • Providing technology training for Teacher Technology Competency Assessment - Essential Level and Teacher Technology Competency Assessment - Expected Level.
